11th edition of The Employment Law Review

VOW Partner Chris Van Olmen has authored the Belgian Chapter in the 11th edition of the internationally recognised The Employment Law Review, which is published by The Law Reviews.

This chapter looks at the recent changes in labour law as well as the most important cases before the Belgian courts in 2019. Further, it gives a concise overview of Belgian employment law and its most important rules regarding the employment relationship, restrictive convenants, wages, working time, foreign workers, global policies, parental leave, translation, employee representation, data protection, dismissals and transfer of business.

The book also contains contributions on relevant topics like the global impact of the #MeToo Movement, employment issues in cross-border M&A Transactions, global diversity, social media and religious discrimination. In addition to Belgium, the Employment Law Review includes chapters on employment law in 43 different countries.
