For the 20th year in a row, many international and national law firms based in Brussels joined forces on 26 May 2024 as one team to participate in the 44th edition of the 20km run through Brussels (20km door Brussel-20km de Bruxelles). More than 700 lawyers and law firm staff will run under the Legal Run banner to collect money to support La Maison d'Enfants Reine Marie-Henriette asbl ("La Fleche"), the selected charity this year.
La Fleche is a Brussels-based association of 220 volunteers supporting approximately 200 children each year. All ages are welcome, as La Fleche supports newborns as well as children in their late teens. La Fleche aims to provide these children with structure and a safe space.
The Legal Run has become a tradition within the Brussels legal community. Each participating firm sponsors its runners who collectively run for the same charity. The Legal Run is not only a fun sporting event for lawyers and legal staff alike, it also provides great exposure and financial support for the selected charity.
From VOW, 10 runners and walkers participated in the Legal Run, amounting to a total of 200 kilometers. We hereby give you a glimpse of our (sunny and rainy) day:
