VOW’s Senior Associate Gautier Busschaert has received this year’s Lexology - Client Choice Award for Labour & Employment in Belgium.
Established in 2005, Client Choice recognises those individuals around the world that stand apart for the excellent client care they provide and the quality of their service. The criteria for this recognition focus on an ability to add real value to clients’ business above and beyond the other players in the market. Uniquely, lawyers can be nominated only by corporate counsel. Clients are asked to rate individuals on certain client service criteria. The results of this survey are used to draw up shortlists by country and work area, and shortlisted candidates are then invited to submit up to five client referees. The research team conducts follow-up interviews and additional research where necessary. On the basis of the survey and the research, only one lawyer per category per jurisdiction is named a winner of the award. Therefore, Gautier is the only Belgian recipient of this award in the category of labour and employment. VOW wishes to congratulate him for this achievement!
Gautier joined Van Olmen & Wynant in 2013. He holds a PhD in law from the University of Leicester. Next to his work for VOW, he also teaches European Labour Law at the Université Libre de Bruxelles. Gautier is a member of the European Employment Lawyers Association, regularly publishes in both national and international law reviews and is a national contributor to the “European Employment Law Cases” (EELC) review.
